Something about the quirkiness of that show appealed to me. I don't expect they are your cup of tea, of course - but that's really been my only flirtation with CN to date. Now, we don't have cable (oh, the horror!). So we aren't seeing the Powerpuff Girls or Alton Brown much these days. So that means when I am traveling (in Chicago right now as a matter of fact) - I usually spend a little quality time getting a cable t.v. "fix".
I hope today was a good day for you! I have enjoyed years of trying to find the definitive receipe and loved every bite except those that were really chocolate sauce pawned off as hot fudge. If you have found THE receipe, please share. Thanks, Keith, and enjoy the channel of your choice. Somehow, ...I'd like to see "Iron Chef" go animated. Somehow, the chairman would seem more real in two dimensions. And can't you just see Bobby Flay, decked out in aqua Lycra, going up against a cartoon-big Morimoto? Just imagine how fast the knives could fly. There goes Bobby clutching at his own ankle as he goes down injured yet again. Limping, he rises, vowing that someday nouveau Southwestern cuisine will rule the world. But a soft kick from Morimoto sends Bobby's corn and blueberry crepes into starspace. Cut to a badly drawn anime figure praising Morimoto's dishes' "harmony." Oh, count me in.

Lori PatelAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4119069685193830280.post-39317843942976071802007-06-06T06:30:00.000-07:002007-06-06T06:30:00.000-07:00Thank goodness our kids are grown and gone. However, I do agree with your Aunt Nancy that Scooby is an icon...and worth watching. I do hope that you still like the Food Network. Until reading about your obsession with it, I'd never watched it...and now, I really enjoy it. I banned it (I still have that control with an 8, 6 and 4 year old) but the other day while my eyes were lightly closed - the boys slyly tuned into CN (did I just say I still have control?) and I heard "your invention sucks!" come from the TV. Huh? Worse yet - those words came from Spiderman! Since when did our Superheroes start talking like that? At the same time - how can I ban Scooby Dooby Doo (an Owen favorite)?

Happy viewing Keith!
Aunt NancyNancy Kelleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13355680339066523699noreply@blogger.com
